Lake Hodges Park Photo Shoot Diary's 2010

Diary of Richard Strobel and my photo shoot trips to Lake Hodges 2010

02/15/10 We arrived in the park about 7:45am at the West Bernardo Drive entrance. The main reason for going was to photograph the Western Grebe's mating dance which happens for 1 -2 weeks every year during February or March. We had to walk on a trail for a 1/2 mile to find a good observation point on the lake. We observed perhaps 20 dances during our 3 hour stay on a lovely sunny clear windless day.
