On our second day in Seattle we decided to walk in the wind and rain to the Space Needle about 2 miles from the ship
A city park just before the space needle. These statues were designed by the famous artist Chihuly. We decided to attend his Garden and Glass Exhibit which cost us $17 for senior tickets. It was money well spent as it was raining and the exhibit was spectacular.
Chihuly is truly an extremely talented artist. I have seen other exhibits of his work but this one is the best yet.
Amazing work. I was considering the purchase of a vase, but the cheapest on in the gift store was $8000.
Linda is also a great fan of Chihuly's work and really enjoyed her self in this exhibit.
What an eye he has for elegant graceful glass sculpture.
Looks good enough to eat.
Space Needle surrounded by glass flowers.
Water does not bother glass art.
The sun came out for our walk back to the ship. Seattle even has art along the freeway. This is a stainless steel tree.
