Photo's by Roger & Linda of Wenatchee, Washington trip in August 2007
Linda, Joy Rey, and Stan in the town of Leavenworth.
View of the Columbia River Gorge on Herman Creek trail summit.
Linda touring Ohme Garden in Wenatchee, Washington.
The Columbia River from Ohme Gardens.
A orchard farmer and his wife built these gardens themselves from a bare treeless cliff.
Apparently the state park services uses the local prison inmates to maintain the gardens.
There were several pools with fish.
He even built rock benches into the cliff.
He had no landscape architect experience at all. Sure would like to have his talents for my back yard.
t was a hot day and these shade gardens were relaxing and cooling.
