Roger's photos of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada cruise Oct. 14 , 2011

We left the ship the morning of the 14th and claimed our luggage amongst perhaps 3000 bags. Very scary but we all found ours and got them transported to a local hotel where we stayed an extra day.
After getting checked into our Quebec City Hotel LE PRIORI, we visited the shopping area again, on our own this time. The hotel was old but renovated to modern art deco which was quite charming. The elevators were broke part of the time which made the Rowen's quite unhappy. The hotel had one of the best restaurants in the city but unfortunately was totally booked.
I loved the water color art and loved even more their oil paintings.
Outdoor cafes everywhere, but we decided it was too cold to eat outside.
They really had the town decorated up for fall.
Our last view of our ship.
A French Stop sign. The traffic on the narrow streets was horrible in the down town area.
Ray getting some exercise before lunch.
I loved some of the paintings in this gallery, but Linda would not entertain any purchases.
Another shot of the pay elevator/Funicular to upper town.
A real Canadian Maple Leaf.
The cooking store again which I walked into this time.
She looks real but is actually a manikin.
Some whimsical Italian statues.
A pair of nesting birds.
Another creative Halloween decoration.
Ah rabbit.
The coed rest rooms are so strange!
The flute woman, symphony class, I would say.
The natural vines are so colorful.
Sleeping porkers.
We all wanted a photo next to the pork man.
My mother would love these gourds. It was a great trip. At night we had a great dinner in a nice Italian restaurant across the street from our hotel. Retired early and got up at 6:00am to catch our cab to the airport. Arrived home that afternoon with no problems.
