12/04/2003 Home in driveway, LX200gps, 8", Toucan Pro 740 web cam, Prime Focus, 2.5x Powermate, 2 AVI's of 170/300 frames captured using K3CCD Tools, aligned and stacked using Registax, the two results stacked in Photoshop 6 using layers luminosity blending, levels, blur, and unsharp mask. Transparency 3/10 (foggy), Seeing 7/10. My 2nd try of Saturn with a web cam. I am happy with the improvement. I do however want more detail and less grain when blown up. I can ID the Cassini division, but no hint of the Enke division. I need to get out more while Saturn is in a favorable position.
11/22/2003 Vallecito, LX200gps, 8", Toucan Pro 740 web cam, Prime Focus, 80/160 frames stackedin K3CCD, and processed in Photoshop 6, Transparency 7/10, Seeing 3/10. My first try of Saturn with a web cam, The image is too small, next time I will use a 2.5 Powermate. The shape and size of the image was really jumping around in the upper windy turbulent atmosphere.

The shape and size of the image was really jumping around in upper windy turbulent atmosphere. It was very difficult to keep the image in the laptop screen with out tracking.
