09/8/14 Richard Bledso and I attended the San Diego Mission this morning to test out his new Fuji 10-24mm lens on my FujiFilm X-T1 camera. It was a beautiful morning with nice tropical clouds in the sky. It cost $3 for seniors to get into the church and grounds. We first shot in the church and then headed to the beautiful court yard just outside the church. I only stayed 1.5 hours. The lens has a nice build, mechanical f stop adjustment, is light weight at only 16oz, and has image stabilization. It took a lot of processing in ACR to get the raw images looking good. For the camera profile in ACR, I used Provia/Standard my favorite profile. I was very happy with the architectural photos, statues, but some of the trees and shrubbery were a bit fuzzy. I think I will buy the lens, but will wait a month or two for a sale as it some times is available for $100 off, making it $900. A very enjoyable morning shooting with Richard.
