Leo Carrillo Ranch and Historic Park Diary 2011

Diary of my photo shoot to the Leo Carrillo Ranch and Historic park in Carlsbad California.

05/12/11 I attended the Pacific Photographic Society for a meet up at the Leo Carrillo Ranch and Historic park in Carlsbad California. It was a lovely day and the short meet up was a lot of fun. My friend Rich Strobel also attended. I got to know the leader Bill Grolz a really nice guy. The main reason to drive up here is to see the white male peacock which I did. I got several good photos but nothing super so I guess I will have to go again. The cost is right "free" and parking is easy even for my big truck. I used my Canon 7d and 24-105 mm L series lens and my new Giotta carbon fiber tripod and ball head. I really love this light weight tripod.
