Lake Hodges Park Photo Shoot Diary's 2011

Diary of Richard Strobel, Bill Remlinger, and my photo shoot trip to Lake Hodges 2011

01/24/11 We arrived in the park about 7:00am at the West Bernardo Drive entrance. The main reason for going was to photograph the Western Grebe's mating dance which happens for 1 -2 weeks every year during January through February. We had to walk on a trail for a 3/4 mile to find a good observation point on the lake. We observed perhaps 20 dances during our 2 hour stay on a lovely sunny clear windless day.
